Greg Schackel, MD

Greg Schackel, MD, Board Certified in Otolaryngology received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1985. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Utah and went on to complete his residency and fellowship in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery.

Dr. Schackel specializes in the treatment of children and adults with ear, nose & throat diseases/conditions. He has over twenty years of experience and is specially trained in head & neck surgery, facial cancer, sinus, ear, nasal surgeries, tonsillectomies and ear tube placement. Other services available include: snoring treatment, diagnostic hearing loss, hearing aid dispensing and allergy treatment using sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT).


Brad Pickett, MD

Brad is a consulting Neurotologist and visiting Otolaryngologist completed his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School in 1985. He went on to complete his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a fellowship in neurotology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Pickett has over twenty years of Otology experience and specializes in cochlear implants and bone anchored amplification surgeries.


Erin Hamlin, PA-C (Physician Assistant Certified)

Erin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Ball State University and went on to complete the Physician Assistant Program at St. Louis, Missouri in 2000. Erin is a certified physician assistant and has over nine years of combined experience in the areas of cardiovascular, nephrology and otolaryngology medicine.


S. Janae Biard, M.A., CCC-A/SLP, Audiologist & Speech-Language Pathologist

Janae received her Masters of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2000. She joined the Southwestern Colorado Ear, Nose & Throat Associates team in 2009 after moving back to the Colorado area from her position at San Diego Children’s Hospital. She is a licensed audiologist and speech-language pathologist with over 10 years experience in the areas of adult and pediatric audiology, aural habilitation and cochlear implants.


Kathy Lazary, BSN, RN

Kathy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 1978. Kathy has over thirty years of clinical nursing experience; 15 years of critical care nursing experience as well as having taught clinical and academic nursing for associate degree nursing programs. She has over five years experience in Otolaryngology Nursing and Allergy Testing. Patient education is the cornerstone of her nursing practice.


Judie Vagneur, Nurse Assistant

Judie has been a Certified Nurse Aide since 1993 and completed the Practical Nurse training program at Pueblo Community College. Judie has been a Medical Assistant for over ten years and also has Allergy Testing experience.
